Session 1: King Protea Piece

This is the start of a beautiful piece.  Osha (customer) came to me with the idea that she wanted a King Protea plant tattooed on her.  She wanted it from blooming to close; along with a quote.  Luckily, she appreciates the beauty and longevity of session work.  This is the first session...FOLLOW ME....

To keep accuracy ...I wanted to use a stencil....seeing that I was going to attempt a piece with no lines...

Here is my stencil on the body....PRECISE!

1st Session pictures:  Can't wait to finish this beautiful piece.  It's already so dynamic.  NO LINES....just beautiful; blended color pallets...

Smile Now... Cry Later

This is a recent piece...Customer told me she wanted a tattoo reminiscent of the "Laugh Now. Cry Later" faces.  I've done those on numerous occasions...I wanted to give her something fresh, and new.  After, a few sketches, I developed a piece more feminine with the use of geishas.  I decided to incorporate nice rich and bold colors to compliment the piece.   Oh, yes and lets not forget the border to tie the tattoo in one nice cute package.  Hope you enjoy! ps....Check out my logo....Nice!

World Meet Taylor! Taylor Meet the World!

When I was designing my logo, I thought I would play around with the idea of creating a character.  I never really did this, but it was fun and definetly something I want to further in....

So World say hello to Taylor.  She is a little girl that packs power.  Don't take her sweet first impressions, floral dress and purse for granted.  Taylor wears the pants under that dress.  She's ready for what comes her way and always stays strapped with a tattoo machine.

Though this is my first character,  Taylor is not the end....just wait, watch and you will see....

The Birth of my logo...

One day recently, I felt as though it was time for reinvention.  It was definetly time for a logo.  First I drew out the piece in pencil.  Tightened it up with marker, scanned and vectored the piece.  I had my friend, Mike Cease of the Lunch Break, clean up the piece.  And, WAHLA! Cake the logo was birthed.
